Bnei Akiva is currently the largest youth movement in the world and identifies as a religious Zionist organisation based on the principle of “Torah Va’Avodah” (Torah and work). Founded worldwide in 1929, the South African branch of Bnei has provided the youth of the community with programmes entwining a love of Judaism and Israel for more than 70 years.

Habonim SA’s ideology is founded on the three pillars of Judaism, Zionism, and Equality and Service to Humanity. A non-religious, non-Orthodox movement, Habo utilises a secular and cultural approach to social justice and its firm belief in the existence of Israel as a homeland for Jewish people.

Netzer is South Africa’s signature youth movement founded on the ideals of Progressive Judaism and Reform Zionism. With branches across the country, Netzer classifies itself as a place for all youth to be who they are.

Betar

Betar was founded by Ze’ev Jabotinsky and the youth of Latvia in 1923 as a means to combat the anti-Semitism in Europe at the time. Grounded in Zionism, which it places above all over principles, Betar believes in the ideologies of Aliyah, acting with moral integrity, and fighting for what is right.

The South African Union of Jewish Students (SAUJS) is a non-profit organisation that caters to the needs of South African Jewish students across the country.
​SAUJS’ objective includes strengthening Jewish identity on university campuses across South Africa, while keeping Jewish students involved in both local and Jewish affairs through numerous social, community, religious, political, cultural, and educational events.

Diller Teen Fellowship

Diller aspires to prepare the next generation of Jewish leaders by inviting them participate in an immersive worldwide leadership initiative based on the values of Jewish identity, connection to Israel, and the Torah principle of repairing the world (Tikkun Olam). Diller encompasses 32 countries around the globe, with more than 600 teenagers in Grades 10 and 11 selected each year to take part in the Diller Teen Fellows programme.
