Commemorating October 7
Join the South African Zionist Federation for Yakir’s Light and our October 7th Commemoration, two events honouring memory, creativity and resilience. From 5–9 October, experience Yakir’s Light, a moving exhibition of Chaya Hexter’s photography alongside the drawings and architectural work of her son, Yakir Hexter z”l, with guided tours led by Chaya herself.
The week will culminate in our October 7th Commemoration Event on Wednesday, 7 October, where Chaya will join us as our keynote speaker and share her deeply personal story of loss, remembrance and resilience. Together, these events offer an opportunity to remember, reflect and honour the lives and stories that must continue to be carried forward.
Registration is essential for both events, and exhibition spaces are limited.
